Sing Out is a summer workshop experience for rising 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students as well as music educators, who are interested in learning more about singing and choreography. We are bringing together nationally-known clinicians to work with participants in rehearsals as well as present special interest sessions. We hope to enhance and promote quality rehearsal and performance skills as well as expose participants to a wide variety of music and choral related topics.
When: Our workshop begins on Sunday, July 25th, at 12:45pm with check-in beginning in the theatre lobby. Daily schedules run approximately 1:30pm–5:00pm on Sunday, and 8:30am–5:00pm for the rest of the week. Our workshop draws to a close on July 31st, when participants present the grand finale performance showcasing what they have learned over the course of the week. A more detailed schedule will be included in your registration packet, including info about all the other fun things we have planned!
Where: Durham School of the Arts, Durham, NC
Other important info: Once your registration has been received, you will be sent a packet with more info including directions and a medical form. Also included will be an order form to purchase a group photo and/or a video of the performance, as well as tickets to the show.
