Counselors Needed
Arts Mission needs counselors for Sing Out 2012!
Requirements:
- You must be a minimum of 15 years of age by July 29, 2012 and/or a rising 10th grader for Fall 2012.
- Counselors must be available for workshop duties at Durham School of the Arts the whole week. Required times are as follows:
- Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 10:00am, for set-up & staff meeting.
- Sunday, July 29, 2012 thru Friday, August 3, 2012, from approx. 8:15am thru 6:00pm
- Saturday, August 4, 2012 from 8:15am thru the conclusion of the 4:00pm finale concert, as well as the completion of strike and load out.
- Duties of counselors:
- Daily check-in and check-out of participants
- Singing and dancing in rehearsals with the participants
- Escorting kids to bathroom, nurse, snack and lunch times, etc.
- Setting up and cleaning up after break times and lunches
- Helping with basic discipline
- Assisting clinicians as needed
- Participating in Wacky Olympics!
- Performing in finale show
- As well as other duties as need arises!
Please note that this counselor position is on a volunteer basis. However, lunches will be provided free of charge, as well as all music, camp t-shirt and group photo.
